We wear short shorts.
Do you like short shorts? I usually wear this tight little pink short short and its soo cute! Awesome! and my Prada handbag with my little Chihuahua Poopsie barking out of it.
I am going on a trip to California soon and I need to take my little 10 pound chihuahua with me, but I can’t seem to find a good carrier that he will fit in. He needs one that is AT LEAST 13 inches high, 17 inches long and 9 inches wide. And I want it to be a duffel bag like this http://www.amazon.com/Sherpa-Duffle-Carrier-lbs-Brown/dp/B002LNLSA0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1278392281&sr=1-3 so it’s nice and comfortable for him. Thank you so much
I want to use my dog as a psychiatric service dog. She is trained (by me) to fetch my anxiety med bag if I’m in panic attack. She (if not in my arms) will stand between a stranger and I to help keep me calm. She does not become aggressive unless I am threatened (as in someone is going to physically hurt me). She also knows the sit/stay command as well as lie down. I can take her to a public area (where dogs are allowed) and she does not sniff unless I tell her to go potty. Basically she is a good dog. I have taught her well.
I have panic anxiety disorder, PTSD, depression, as well as a dissociative disorder. She helps keep me calm when I am able to take her with me.
I was wondering how do I go about getting her certified/licensed as a service dog?
Normally if I am going out I use a carrier for her (as she is a chihuahua dachsaund).
So what would I need to do exactly to be able to use her as a service dog in public is my main question? I am assuming she has to have certification or licensure (as in some form of official ID).
I have become knowledgeable about PSD compared to ESA and she would be used as a PSD.
I’m also legally blind. She also alerts me to someone outside my home (as I cannot see them), She helps me to cross a street safely as well. If she is in a carrier she will paw my hand if someone approaches so I am aware of it. Otherwise she holds a stand/stay posture facing me in order to stay between me and the stranger approaching. Once they speak I tell her sit and she does.

I got a puppy about a week ago. His name is Baxter and he’s about 11 weeks old. He’s a chihuahua mixed with a pekingese. (He wasn’t intentionally bred or anything and the fee charged was to cover the spaying of the momma dog and NO I don’t support puppy mills or breeding designer mutts) Anyways..I took him to the vet on weds and got him his first set of shots..(I know 11 weeks is a little late for that but the previous owner didn’t have the funds, and what can ya do, I don’t wanna get into any debates
). He seems perfectly healthy, is a good eater and loves his daily vitamin. I have a few questions though, since my last dog I got when she was 4 months old, and she was a GSD, I never raised a small breed like this. My schedule is different than most peoples so here is how my pup’s schedule goes. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays my boyfriend and I have the same work hours 2pm-10pm, so on those days its like this.. 11am- breakfast then at 1:30pm he is crated. My mom is staying with us for several months so she gets home at about 7:00pm and feeds him his dinner and lets him out of his crate. We live close enough to home that I sometimes come home at 4pm and let him out for a drink of water and potty break. We get home at night about 10:45pm. Baxter goes on potty pads 90% of the time, and has never made an accident in his crate. We chose the potty pad route because we live in an apartment in the city and it seems like the most realistic training method until he’s older and can hold his bladder longer. On the days that one of us is off and home all day (Weds, Fri, sat, sun) he eats the same times 11am and 7:00 pm, but isn’t crated until bedtime..anywhere from 12-2am. I’m following the instructions on the food bag, each feeding he gets 1/8 cup. He doesn’t object to going to sleep in his crate either. So this is my first question, does this sound like an okay schedule for Baxter? Or is the 5hr crating between the time I leave to work and the time my mom comes home and feeds him those 3 days too long for him to wait? I heard its 1 hr they cant hold it for every month they are, but maybe that’s not applying because we let him eliminate before we crate him and go to work?
My next question is this.. Sometimes when we pick him up he growls at us. I’ve never experienced this with a puppy. The vet said the other people might have not been picking him up right and I should get him used to being picked up and handled. Any thoughts?

You know exactly what I’m talking about. When you see a "teacup" (read: Runt) chihuahua in a pink outfit complete with shoes, in a "dog carrier" handbag. People dressing their dogs up as bees, rabbits, etc.
How do you feel about it? I’m all for people making their dogs wear coats in the winter to keep them warm (not that you have that problem with a dog that wants to live in a mountain of snow!), but the people that dress their dogs up.
Do you think it’s ok? Or do you think it’s unacceptable? When is it acceptable?
Best answer goes to whoever justifies their opinion, not just anyone that reflects my belief.
I have a 4 lb chihuahua got him at 6 wks old he is 3 yrs old now besides the questions below can I purchase a ticket for him so he can have his own seat? The more information, links etc I can get from people the better since the flights going to be about 16 hrs and I just want him as comfortable as possible whatever it takes
I am curious, my guy has separation anxiety he takes doggie prozac now how does TSA handle the actual animal? I know they will check his stroller and carrier but do they have to touch the dog in anyway because my chi is very overprotective of momma and may try to bite, also say if there’s a 3 hr layover can he be walked through the terminal on a leash or in his stroller so he can stretch a bit and when I buy an in cabin ticket for him can he be taken out of his bag or stroller once the plane has taken off, some flights are LONG and I don’t want him to be uncomfortable, or is it best to get him sedated?? and what if he has to potty once in the air?? he was the runt of the litter is only 4 lbs and has only known paper training hes emphatic on NOT going potty outside
