When a dog is capable of this….

I was "food shopping" for my dogs the other day (fruits and veggies) and the check out lady and I started in conversation. The "lady" behind me then commented, I can’t believe you waste so much money on fruits and veggies for dogs when there are starving kids in the world" and proceeded to shake her head (meanwhile reaching down into her "coach" purse to break out her wallet.

As I was leaving I then replied to her comment (yeah, yeah, takes me a while to come back with a witty come back lol) "I bet you could feed a whole lot of kids with the money it took to buy that designer bag" she looked appauled.

Anyways, cute video I thought I would share with all the dog lovers if you have not already seen it.It’s probably one of the most touching things I’ve seen all day.Probably because a "dumb dog" is the only one who stopped to help.
And my point is proved..two more ignorant morons to add to the books.

www.gwlittle.com Ideal for small pet travel. Flexible height carrier means a perfect fit in tight spaces, like airplanes. Tiny carrier is just over 1 pound and has all the features of larger pet carriers.

I’m thinking I might be pregnant with our second child. My husband is going to explode with excitement since he has been BEGGING me for the last year to get pregnant again!! I want to come up with an adorable way to say I am pregnant (obviously after I find out for sure!). With our daughter that is turning 2 at the end of this month I told him by a letter trail.. I left 7 letters (we were married on 7-7-2007, 7 is my lucky number, 7 is the number of completion in the Bible) every other letter was written in baby blue or pastel pink ink.. I left them in all of our favorite places- where we were married, the barn with our horse stuff, favorite locations etc.. the 2nd to last letter I told him to meet me at the beach and the final letter was in my pocket. When he got there after reading all these letters about how amazing he was and life was.. so on and so on I told him I was going to make him one very happy camper.. at the time I had 5 dogs, 4 horses, 2 cats, 4 chinchillas and fish. He was SICK of animals and he begged me not to bring anything else home.. so in the final letter (oh, and the date was Dec 31st 2007) I promised to not bring home anything else.. except ……………for what was in the back seat.. He rolled his eyes and looked quite upset… I opened the back seat and pulled out a small pet carrier that was covered in a towel, I wiggled it around like something was moving in it and I grinned and held it up for him to see. He glanced inside without much enthusiasm and saw a small dog bed, he didn’t seem to look too hard so I opened it up and told him to check it out. He glanced in again and then saw there was nothing inside except a piece of paper in the bed. He reached in and pulled out a piece of paper that had a picture of a baby curled up inside a sea shell and it said "CONGRATS DADDY!!!!!!!!!!" and a picture of the pregnancy test taped to it. He stared at it for a while before it dawned on him, then I don’t know if he was more excited about the baby or not another animal but he was sooooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!! It was definitely a moment to remember!!!!

here are some other ideas I have considered or have heard about:
*Making a cake in the shape of a women with a pregnant belly with the #2 on her belly
*After dinner, ask if anybody’s still hungry – because you’ve got a bun in the oven!
*Serving beef stew- which is one of my hubby’s favorite meals- and writting on the bottom of the bowl something like ‘soon to be dinner for 4" or "I wonder if the new baby will like stew too?" or something like that so when he finishes eating he sees it!
*Having our daughter wear an outfit that says "im the big sister!" or "I love my baby brother/sister"
*Serving a meal of BABY back ribs, BABY corn, BABY carrots and everything minaturized!
*His cousin has a 1 week old baby boy so I was considering having him hold the baby and telling him he is going to have to get back into the habit of caring for such a tiny thing. or something like that.
*making a multi layed cake and writting something on paper and putting it in a plastic bag, placing the bag in between the layers so when he cuts the cake he finds it
*leaving the test on the back of the toilet for him to find
*getting another high chair and putting it at the table and see how long it takes him to notice
*we’re getting a toddler bed for our baby girls 2nd birthday and so I was going to tell him not to bother breaking down the crib since we’re going to need it!

I have a few more ideas but I am tired of typing lol :) Please share with me any ideas you have no matter how silly they seem! I’d love to find something that will be memorable forever!!! THANKS! :)
"My Eggo is Preggo" hahaa how cute! I love the idea of different colored layers!! very cute!!!!!!!! :)

If you have a small dog and need to take them with you then try this terrific front carrier. This legs-out carrier is perfect for senior dogs that may not be able to walk very far, but would love to come along for the ride. This video shows 13 year old Sheba, a wonderful Yorkie-Poo in her favourite way to travel. This padded front carrier is very comfortable and secure and she just loves being able to come with her owner instead of being left behind. This carrier lets dogs have their legs hang out rather than being squished, which for older dogs many times is a necessary feature to ensure comfort. This carrier can be found at: www.DogQuality.com

My son is 15 months and he is a walking talking ball of energy, lol!

Our last family vacation was last summer, when we were still living in the US, we took a 3 week road trip driving across country with our cat, dog, and son. At the time our son was 3-4 months old and he learned to roll over the last week of the vacation.
For that vacation we took ALOT of extra luggage because we were driving our car the whole way and some extra bags in the trunk of the car wasn’t an issue during transport.

This vacation will be different in that we only want to carry as few bags as we can. Since its just me, my husband, and our son (the pets will be staying home with a sitter this year) and the three of us will be traveling by train and not car. I figure either I or my husband will have to carry our son and our son’s luggage while the other one will carry our luggage. My husband and I will probably fit most of our stuff into one suit case so thats not an issue.
My questions are more centered around my son’s luggage. I don’t want to get caught with a bunch of things we don’t need, however I also don’t want us to massively over pack and have a huge suitcase to carry onto the train.

We have taken day trips by train all over northern England at least once a week since we moved here in January, so I know what my son will and won’t need for spending a day at a museum or a castle, for example.
My main concern is that this is the first over-night trip since he was 4 months old and I don’t want to run into problems at night in the hotel room. Night time entertainment, healthy foods, sleeping arrangments…I’m at a loss!

Also, once we get there, we have a list of places we want to see during the day: Zoo, aquarium, couple musuems and historical artictecture. The usual touristy things since its our first time going to London. We’ll most likely be traveling by bus or by foot the entire time we are in London.

My question is, if you were planning a similar vacation with a child of 15 months:
What would you bring along and what would you leave at home?
in terms of clothing, toys, snack foods, stroller vs back-pack style carrier, hygience supplies, etc…

Your thoughts on the subject are greatly appreciated-

LG: What is your dog’s favorite treat?

Homework
It’s in that dusty corner of my room
The part where my mom forgot to vacuum
The coldest part too.
It’s all in there sandwiched with my smelly old socks and the two weeks overdue book
I just don’t want to go near it
It might eat me alive
I sit in my pink bean bag chair
Coming up with excuses that might seem more realistic than
My dog ate my homework.
I go shopping with my friends
Juicy and Abercrombie carriers that are bringing me down
Ohh! Are those new Jimmy Choos?
But I don’t feel like I’m inside a bubble
All glowing and light whether I have hundreds of shopping bags.
Something is bringing me down
Is my guilt that heavy?
So maybe I should do my months of homework
So I could be light again with the guilt moving next door
I don’t know where to start, but it’s better late than never.
I’m in eighth grade.

I live in NYC and have a 1yr-4month old 18lb pug. I’m looking for a carrier w/ wheel that would be a comfortable fit for him to take on the subway, buses, or any other sort of public transportation. I’ve looked online and I’ve read reviews on a ton of bags but most are commenting on their small dogs/cats. I would like advice from someone who actually owns a pug and owns a decent carrier…or even someone who owns a 20lb dog. Please give name / link and review..if possible. The carrier should be sturdy, comfortable, durable, and not too expensive.

I want to buy some ferrets late this year early next year. But chances are I am going to have to travel 8 miles for them. My dad probably wont let me have ferrets unless I get them myself. (he softens towards animals once we have them) He said he never wanted the dog or 7 rats we have at first (then it was his idea to have more!!!!!!!!!) My aunti can’t do it either as she hates rodents/weasels anything of that sort near her let alone in her car.

Now here is my question would they be ok in there for 45 minutes? I would have to go up to somewhere like chesterfield (8 mile away) or sheffield (12 mile away) which takes 30-45 minutes. I would have to go on the bus or a moped meaning they would need to be in one of those things (but bigger, ofcourse) and smuggled into a bag pack. (with zip slightly open, ofcourse)
What about this then ffs? running out of options
